Get Ready To Communicate Globally

How do companies communicate at the global level? What is necessitating the emergence of global communication?

Thanks to globalisation , the world has become a sort of a global village and companies operating in different nations need to achieve comprehensibility.

In simple terms global communication is about transferring and receiving information.
Such information can be manifested in any form verbal or non-verbal. Ever advancing technology is serving as a vehicle of communication. these all processes make the dream of global communication true.

To communicate properly the companies make local managers change information send by main company branch(parent company) into a format that suits people living locally in that country.

Our sir Mr. Nair once said that its the local manager who is being recruited on the basis of how he is able to inspire the local public in his custody.

Hence the information being passed on might be the same but would be uttered in alltogether different format.

Mr. Nair giving an example to this as-->

Unilever sends the same plan to Hindustan Lever and Lever Brothers located in India and Pakistan respectively, but the local managers decrypt or encrypt it in local user understandabl escheme. But the theme remains the same.

An example provided was

A soap being advertised for ladies in India and the same is advertised for gents in Pakistan

Hence the key used is same so domain remains the same(A bit technical).

So as to make a common language as the company main manifested language many of the companies have started rejecting mails written in foreign languages.

Companies have people with designations like communication strategist, technical communicator etc. to deal with communication related problems.

Companies usually create their communication model based on the country in which they have the branch.

So its true to say that
"Recognizing the importance of global communication is the most important sector to be solved up for a company who is trying to settle in alltogether a different nation with no resemblance what-so-ever with their own local way of communication."

Your Word Power Describes You In Detail

Appearance go a long way. Sure, the way you dress, talk and conduct yourself leaves a lasting impression on the interviewer. But there is one aspect of your personality that creates an impression even before you are called for an interview.
A discerning observer will glean a lot of information about your communication skills from your resume, your covering letter.

While it is true that emails and messaging services have made it quicker and easier to share information and get the message across instantly, it has also led people to acquire a more casual attitude towards writing.

It is okay for people to "CU ASAP"instead of "Meet you at the earliest". Text and lingo are all right as long as the communication is informal and between friends. But in professional arena one must give the exact dignity to the meaning it represents.
A company whose staff pay scant attention to the way in which written communication is handled will have to pay the price in lost time, lost customers and lost revenues.

Workplace communication must be clear and precise.Avoid ambiguity and wordiness. There is no need to start of with a formal 'Dear Sir' and end with a 'Bye' or 'Rgds'.

At the workplace one needs to express your ideas logically. To have clarity in your idea one needs to use bullets and points. Text and lingo in workplace communication is taboo. Avoid using lingo or smileys in official letters. It takes the attention away from the message and makes it seem immature.

In the corporate world you dont have to be drab. We need to use a little bit of creativity and innovation. Why not use a couple of interesting/different words to brighten up a boring email? This is not to say that you should compose a ballad on the shortage of the stationery in the workplace, but one could try and lookup words that are different or more descriptive.
This is not merely an exercise to improve your vocabulary. It can enrich ones thinking and built ones self-esteem apart from helping one to communicate effectively.

Apart from all this, making a conscious attempt to improve ones knowledge of the language through reading, listening and actively communicating with others.
